PROTEST LOOMS: MIVUDI-CITIZENS urges caution and preparedness

Mission for the Vulnerable and Displaced Citizens (MIVUDI-CITIZENS), a leading humanitarian organization dedicated to providing aid and support to vulnerable populations, is issuing an urgent call for caution and preparedness as the nation braces for potential protests.

With the looming threat of civil unrest, MIVUDI-CITIZENS advises citizens, particularly those residing in major urban areas, to take the following precautions:

Stockpile essential supplies: Given the unpredictable nature of protests, it is crucial to have a sufficient supply of food, water, and medications.

Prioritize personal safety: Be vigilant of your surroundings, if you are not among the protesters, avoid areas prone to protests,  and stay informed about potential hotspots.

Exercise digital responsibility: Refrain from sharing inflammatory content online as it can exacerbate tensions. Misinformation can have severe consequences.

Create a safety plan: Develop an emergency plan with your family, including evacuation routes and communication strategies.

“The safety and well-being of Nigerians is our paramount concern,” said Nashak Daya, the Executive Director at MIVUDI-CITIZENS. “We urge everyone to prioritize their safety and to avoid situations that could put them at risk.”

MIVUDI-CITIZENS remains steadfast in its commitment to the well-being of all Nigerians. Our focus remains promoting peace within our communities.
