UJAH ANAGUTA STRENGTHENS TIES WITH DNCRS, COMMITS TO COLLABORATION

In a move to foster collaboration and mutual understanding, His Royal Highness Pozoh Dr. Johnson Joro Magaji, the Ujah Anaguta, paid a courtesy visit to the Director of the National Centre for Remote Sensing (DNCRS), Dr. David Nyomo Jeb, on April 3, 2025. The visit marked a significant step in strengthening the relationship between the Anaguta Chiefdom and the Centre.

During the meeting, the Royal Father expressed his deep appreciation for the role DNCRS has played in his personal and academic journey. As a former staff member, he acknowledged the Centre’s contribution to his growth and described his visit as an opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and rekindle old friendships. He highlighted the sudden nature of his transition to the throne, which had prevented him from bidding a formal farewell to the institution where he had spent valuable years.

The Ujah Anaguta spoke of his awareness of the recent change in leadership at DNCRS and emphasized his eagerness to establish a productive working relationship with the new Director. He affirmed his commitment to supporting the Centre’s initiatives and extended an invitation to the Director to visit his palace as a demonstration of goodwill and collaboration.

In response, Dr. David Nyomo Jeb welcomed the Royal Father’s visit, acknowledging the importance of maintaining strong ties with the traditional leadership. He explained that official responsibilities had delayed his planned visit to the palace but assured the Ujah Anaguta that he would make it a priority in the near future. Reflecting on his own connections to the Anaguta Chiefdom, he expressed gratitude for the rich cultural heritage of the people and pledged to work closely with the traditional institution to advance shared interests.

The meeting concluded on a note of mutual respect and shared vision, with both leaders recognizing the value of collaboration in driving sustainable development. The Ujah Anaguta reaffirmed his commitment to supporting DNCRS, particularly in the areas of environmental sustainability and climate change awareness.

This engagement sets the stage for a strengthened partnership between the Anaguta Chiefdom and DNCRS, fostering progress and development for the benefit of the wider community.
