It was a momentous outing with unprecedented collaboration between the Office of the Plateau State First Lady, State Ministry of Women Affairs, Ministry of Health, Gender Commission, NDLEA, Nigeria Immigration Service, other security agencies, CSOs, NGOs, WAWICAN, youth organizations, and students to mark this day in a colorful event. The event started with a road walk and awareness campaign, followed by a public lecture at the New Government House Little Ray field, Jos, by Prof. Audu Moses, who presented on the theme for this year, "The Evidence is Clear, Invest in Prevention."
Speaking with a journalist at the event, Hon. Caroline said, "This has expressed our collective resolve as a government and critical stakeholders to strengthen actions in achieving a sane society free of drug abuse." She added, "We must especially appreciate His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, and his dear wife, Her Excellency, Barr. Helen Mutfwang, for demonstrating a great passion for social protection in Plateau State.
Thank you to all our partners and stakeholders for turning up in numbers and for your continued support. Government can't achieve this alone; let's all be patriotic and get involved in the fight against this dreaded menace.
Let's all say no to drug abuse and yes to life!
