On March 6, 2024, a delegation from the Halle Unity Forum visited the Kwashalalek Community in Halle Ward to express their condolences and support following an unprovoked attack during the new year. Led by Hon Alex Ladan, the forum's leader, the delegation offered prayers for the souls of the departed to rest peacefully with God Almighty. They also prayed for God's continuous blessings and protection upon the community, as well as for open doors for those whose houses were burned. In addition to their prayers, the forum provided financial support to the families of the deceased (30 deaths recorded), families whose houses were burned (11 cases recorded), and those who were injured (2 cases recorded).
In response, The Mai Angwa in the person of ..... warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed gratitude for the forum's love and support. The women leader also appreciated the forum's assistance and prayed for God's continuous blessings upon everyone. During his goodwill message, the youth leader emphasized the importance of unity as the foundation of every community. He expressed gratitude for the forum's generous gesture and prayed for God's continuous blessings and protection for all.
From Kwaghas Lalek, the delegation proceeded to Jwakkargung and inside Halle, where they separately extended condolences to two families that lost their beloved mother/grandmother due to illnesses. May the faithful souls of the departed rest in perfect peace with the Lord. Amen.
