Yesterday, the fourth of August 2024, the following structures of the Mwaghavul Youth’s Movement converged at the widowhood center, Tongsat Bunga, in Mangu Local Government Council:

A representative of the Branches in Pankshin, Jos, Gindiri, and Barkin Ladi

The meeting also included the campaign structure and media team of the “God is involved movement” for Chairmanship, Mangu LGC.
The meeting yesterday witnessed a massive turnout, and many issues were discussed while many resolutions were reached upon. After President Dankaka narrated the entire progression of his journey through the campaign to become the Council Chairman of Mangu Local Government and how consensus negotiations and dialogues were reached upon, the youth expressed their dissatisfaction to realized that he was not the consensus candidate. The loudest agreement reached upon yesterday was to have a delegation to verify the report given by the MYM President, and to also air out their concerns and bitterness. It was agreed upon that the outcome of that meeting will give room for the youths to have a resolution on their final decision going forward.
The representation was drawn from the Unit Chairman, District Chairman, stakeholders, media team, elders, and other relevant bodies within the meeting.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to meet again on Tuesday, the 6th of August, to receive the report given by the committee set in place after their meeting with the concerned elders (PDP) in Jos.
The President also promised to call a Congress meeting to inform them about the developments in his aspiration. He further promised to soon call upon the Congress to establish an electoral committee for the upcoming election of the Mwaghavul Youth Movement National Body.
The president concluded by calling for support for the Executive Governor of Plateau State. He briefed the attendees about the good job done by the governor and also revealed the governor’s good plans for road networks across Plateau State and revised, mechanized, and admirable processing factories for agricultural produce, among many.
He appreciated everyone for defending the Mwaghavul Nation throughout the period of insecurity, though he pleaded for calm but emphasized endless vigilance. He appreciated everyone for attending the meeting but was overcome with emotion that got him shading tears when he saw some in the meeting without hands, some without legs, and others with obvious injuries, all due to the violent attacks in our land.
