Mr. Alex Ladan, Coordinator of the Safe Schools Initiative, recently led his team on a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police in Plateau State. The visit aimed to solidify ongoing collaboration and express appreciation for the Nigerian Police's vital role in securing schools across the state.
The discussions focused on further strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders. Mr Ladan on behalf of the Governor Barr Caleb M Mutfwang expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Police for selecting Plateau as a beneficiary of the safe school responder system which has been installed in 25 most vulnerable schools across the three senatorial districts of the state.
The Commissioner of Police reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of both the Inspector General and the state command to ensuring the safety of schools from criminal activity. He emphasized the appointment of the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Operations) to coordinate school safety efforts within the state. This appointment underlines the command's continued dedication to safeguarding students and fostering a secure learning environment across Plateau State.
